Standard Terms and Conditions for BLOC Photo Booths & Photography (the small print!)

 

A booking fee of £100 is required to confirm your booking. BLOC Photo Booths & Photography will reserve this date for you, therefore the deposit is not refundable even if the date is changed or the event cancelled for any reason. Should the date change, with reasonable notice we may be able to accommodate this and the booking will be transferred to the new date, however this is subject to availability. Once the booking fee has been received the price is fixed and cannot be changed. The remaining balance for your photo booth/photography is due 14 days before the event. BLOC Photo Booths & Photography reserve the right to cancel the booking if payment is not made by the time of the event. Once the full balance is paid, if the Client cancels no refund shall be given due to loss of business. Only cancellations in writing can be accepted.

 

 

BLOC Photo Booths & Photography will hold the copyright of all images. 

 

BLOC Photo Booths & Photography respectfully requests the right to use images for promotional purposes, displays, advertising, exhibitions and competitions, any objection to this in principle should be brought to our attention at the time of booking. BLOC Photo Booths & Photography is granted full production and editorial control by the Client regarding all aspects of album design (if applicable) and post-production services for this event. The Client agrees that the photographer is shooting the wedding and creating the album design in his own artistic style, and the clients are fully familiar with the style in question.

 

Family and friends are permitted to take photographs as long as they do not disturb or disrupt or interfere with the photographers duties. The photographer has the right to kindly ask the person obstructing to refrain from doing so, in order for the photographer to carry on their duties.

 

The photographer will not be held responsible for the lack of coverage caused by the bride and groom, wedding party, or guests not being on time or interfering or restricting the photographers duty. Whilst we endeavour to follow photographic lists provided, BLOC Photo Booths & Photography will not be held responsible for any person missing at the time of a specific group or for the omission of a ‘must take’ photograph. The photographer will not be held responsible for the church, reception, hotel etc having restrictions that prevent images being taken. The photographer will not be held responsible for customer disappointment of agreed album and images as long as they are technically acceptable. The photographer cannot be held responsible for images and photography sessions being disrupted by adverse/unfavourable weather conditions. Any announcement made that will affect your photography and the day, timings, venues etc should be notified as soon as possible in writing to the photographer. Any circumstances not brought to our attention that affect the outcome of the wedding photography will not be the responsibility of the photographer. 

 

BLOC Photo Booths & Photography use only the latest digital photographic equipment, operating a dual memory card system and frequently making back ups of all images whenever possible throughout the day, therefore there will always be a minimum of two separate copies of all images in case of camera or memory card failure. 

BLOC Photo Booths & Photography will assure you of the best attention at all times, however we cannot be held responsible in the unlikely event of equipment failure or circumstances beyond or control; such as theft of equipment, or fire. The photographer will seek to recover costs of damage to equipment caused by guests where appropriate.

 

Please ensure there is adequate parking for the photographer at the wedding and reception venues. The photographer cannot be held liable for the loss of any shots if this requirement is not met, and time is spent looking for parking prior to the service or reception.

 

In the unlikely event of a complaint, this should first be raised with BLOC Photo Booths & Photography in writing within 21 days from receipt of the photographs.

The photographers’ liability is limited to refund of money paid. The photographer will take the utmost care in producing the Client's images. In the unlikely event that a problem arises and the photographer is unable to provide any images, all monies paid will be refunded. The photographer does not guarantee any particular shot, pose or special request. In the very unlikely event that an emergency arises (extreme sickness for example) and the photographer is unable to perform the whole service, the Client will be notified immediately and all money paid (including retainer) will be refunded to the Client. If this were to occur, every effort possible will be made by the photographer to recommend and secure another photographer of equal quality for the Client, though this cannot be guaranteed. This is the extent of liability. It is highly recommended that clients seek their own wedding insurance, which would potentially cover the costs of reshooting in these circumstances.

 

The Client agrees to provide a HOT meal at the reception for the photographer and assistant (if applicable) for bookings of six (6) hours or more shooting time. It is the client’s responsibility to notify the photographer of any coverage required during this break. A break of one hour should normally be provided during the schedule, which will normally be during the wedding breakfast. If any photographs are required in this break period, it is the responsibility of the client to notify the photographer immediately before the photograph is required. The photographer will not be held responsible for any omissions in coverage during this break period. 

 

BLOC Photo Booths & Photography will retain copies of all images taken at the event for a period of 5 years, after which they may be retained. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that suitable copies of images are kept.

 

BLOC Photo Booths & Photography will occasionally use some images for portfolio presentation, competitions, blogs, social media and marketing purposes, as an essential part of future business generation, but only after the client has viewed them. If you do not wish photographs to be used in this way, please indicate on the other side of the form. You can opt out of image use at any time. 

 

BLOC Photo Booths & Photography is fully insured for Personal and Professional Liability. 

 

General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Privacy Policy; BLOC Photo Booths & Photography will keep some of your personal information, (Names’, contact numbers, address, email address, gender, marital status) for the essential and legitimate purpose of administering a service to you, the client. This information is never shared with third parties, and is utilised solely for the purpose of providing the service. This data, along with planning information collected about the event will only be retained as necessary, to a maximum of 6 years after the date of the event.
